Acura Basic Warranty

You are here

Every new Acura comes with a limited factory warranty. The Acura basic warranty, commonly known as a bumper-to-bumper warranty, covers any repairs needed due to manufacturer defects or workmanship. The basic warranty covers most components of a new Acura including the battery, keyless entry remotes, wiper inserts, and accessories. The Acura basic warranty starts with the first date of delivery to it's new owner (in-service date) or the date of first use.

What is Covered Under the Acura Basic Warranty?

The Acura bumper-to-bumper warranty covers most components of a new Acura, including batteries. Keyless entry remotes and wiper inserts are included under a separate limited warranty. In order for the vehicle to be eligible for coverage it must be distributed by American Honda through the Acura Automobile Division.

While most parts are covered, there are restrictions and exclusions. For those parts not covered look in the "What is Not Covered Section" in the Acura warranty booklet.

How long is the Acura Basic Warranty?

The Acura basic warranty is 4 years or 50,000 miles which ever comes first, and begins on the delivery date to the first Acura owner or the first date of use. Keyless entry remote batteries and wiper inserts are covered for the first 6 months of ownership. This warranty is transferable from one Acura owner to the next with very little work needed on the part of the pervious owner. Plus, there is no limit on the number of owners that a particular Acura vehicle can have in order for the warranty to remain valid.

*The Acura basic warranty information was obtained from the 2011 Acura Warranties booklet. For the latest information please advise the New Vehicle Limited warranty section of your booklet.
