The warranty is transferable from one Acura owner to the next with very little work needed on the part of the previous owner. Also, there is no limit on the number of owners the vehicle can have in order for the warranty to be valid.

The 6 years 70,000 miles applies to 2006 and newer models. For 2005 thru 2001 models, the Acura powertrain warranty is 4 years or 50,000 miles whichever comes first.

There are auto car warranties available that will extend the coverage beyond the Acura factory warranty coverage.
