Cadillac Corrosion Warranty

You are here

The Cadillac corrosion warranty protects against any rust-through, or perforation, and corrosion on the vehicle body. It will cover the cost of repairs to rust-through or corrosion that are caused by manufacturer defect or workmanship. The Cadillac corrosion warranty begins the day the vehicle is delivered to it's firs owner (in-service date) or the first date of use.

What Does the Cadillac Corrosion Warranty Cover?

Under the Cadillac corrosion warranty, any repairs to rust though or corrosion on the body of the vehicle are covered if the rust is due to manufacturer defect or workmanship. Once rust is discovered on the vehicle body, it must be taken to a GM authorized service center. Then Cadillac will decided whether to repair the rust or replace the part.

The Cadillac corrosion warranty covers what is listed above. For what is not covered please refer to the "What is Not Covered" section of the warranty booklet.

How Long is the Cadillac Corrosion Warranty?

The Cadillac corrosion warranty covers corrosion for 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. It covers rust-through for 6 years regardless of mileage.  This warranty is also transferable with little or no work needed on the part of the previous Cadillac owners. Also, the Cadillac corrosion warranty has no limits on the number of owners the vehicle can have in order for the warranty to be valid.
