The Cadillac powertrain warranty is part of the Cadillac limited factory warranty and cover repairs needed to the components of the engine, transmission, transaxle, transfer case, and drive systems if the failure is due to manufacturer error or workmanship. The powertrain warranty begins when the new Cadillac is delivered to the first owner (in-service date) of the first date of use.

What is Covered Under the Cadillac Powertrain Warranty?

Under the Cadillac powertrain warranty components of the engine including the cylinder head and block, timing gears, timing chain, and timing cover, oil pump and oil pump housing, OHC carriers, valve covers, oil pan, seals and gaskets, manifolds, flywheel, water pump, harmonic balancer and engine mount. If there is a turbocharger present then the supercharger and all internal lubricated parts are covered as well. Timing belts are covered up until the first scheduled maintenance. The transmission, transaxle, and transfer case and all their components such as the case and all internal lubricated parts, the torque converter, transfer case, transmission and/or transaxle mounts, seals, and gaskets are covered under the Cadillac powertrain warranty. The drive systems warranty encompasses the final drive housing, and all internal lubricated parts, the axle shafts, bearings and housing, constant velocity joints, propeller shafts, universal joints, wheel bearings, locking hubs, front differential actuator, supports, front and rear hub bearings, along with seals and gaskets.

How Long is the Cadillac Powertrain Warranty?

The Cadillac powertrain warranty applies for 5 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. It begins the day it is delivered to the first owner or the day of first use. This warranty can be transferred form one Cadillac owner to the next and has no limitations on how many owners the vehicle can have. There are extended car warranties available that will cover repairs made to the powertrain of the Cadillac after the new car factory warranty has expired. They range from standard to comprehensive coverage depending upon the coverage need of the Cadillac owner.
