Chevrolet Corrosion Warranty

You are here

The Chevrolet corrosion warranty protects against any rust-through, or perforation,  on the vehicle body. It will cover the cost of repairs to rust-through that are caused by manufacturer defect or workmanship. The Chevrolet corrosion warranty begins the day the vehicle is delivered to it's firs owner (in-service date) or the first date of use.

What Does the Chevrolet Corrosion Warranty Cover?

Under the Chevrolet corrosion warranty, any repairs to rust though on the body of the vehicle are covered if the rust is due to manufacturer defect or workmanship. Once rust through is discovered on the vehicle body, it must be taken to a GM authorized service center. Then Chevrolet will decided whether to repair the rust or replace the part.

The Chevrolet corrosion warranty covers what is listed above. For what is not covered please refer to the "What is Not Covered" section of the warranty booklet.

How Long is the Chevrolet Corrosion Warranty?

The Chevrolet corrosion warranty covers corrosion 6 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.  This warranty automatically transfers from one Chevrolet owner to the next. Also, the Chevrolet corrosion warranty has no limits on the number of owners the vehicle can have in order for the warranty to be valid.

*The Chevrolet Corrosion Warranty information was obtained from the 2011 Chevrolet New Vehicle Limited Warranty booklet. For the latest information please advise the Chevrolet Corrosion Warranty section of your warranty booklet.
