Chevrolet Factory Warranty

With every new Chevrolet vehicle purchased comes a limited factory warranty. The Chevrolet factory warranty includes a standard bumper-to-bumper warranty, a powertrain warranty, a corrosion warranty, and roadside assistance. The Chevrolet factory warranty covers repairs needed to most components of the vehicle if they fail due to manufacturer defect or workmanship and it begins the day it is delivered to the first owner or the first day of use.

The Chevrolet Factory, or basic, warranty covers any repair needed to the vehicle due to manufacturer defect or workmanship and it is valid for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. The Chevrolet powertrain warranty encompasses most components of the engine, transmission, transaxle, transfer case, and drive systems. It applies for 5 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. The Chevrolet corrosion warranty cover any rust-through on any body and sheet panel components for 6 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. Chevrolet's roadside assistance program includes services such as courtesy transportation, emergency towing, lock out services, flat tire change, fuel delivery, and battery jump start. The Chevrolet roadside assistance applies for 5 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.

For models 2006 or older the Chevrolet powertrain warranty only applies for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. However, 2005-2006 Chevy Aveo and Cobalt models include powertrain coverage for 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. Also, roadside assistance for models 2009 or older is only 3 years or 36,000 miles.
