Chrysler Basic Warranty

You are here

Every new Chrysler purchased comes with a limited factory warranty. The Chrysler basic, or bumper-to-bumper, warranty is a part of the limited warranty. The basic warranty covers repairs needed to the vehicle due to manufacturer defect or workmanship. The Chrysler basic warranty begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner (in-service date) or the day of first use.

What is Covered Under the Chrysler Basic Warranty?

Under the Chrysler basic, or bumper-to-bumper warranty, most components of the vehicle are covered if the part or parts fail due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship. Wear and tear items such as brakes, wiper blade inserts, brakes, windshield, rear window, wheel balancing, and alignments are covered under a separate limited warranty.

The Chrysler basic warranty covers what is listed above. For a list of what is not covered, refer to the "What is Not Covered" section of the Chrysler warranty booklet.

How Long is the Chrysler Basic Warranty?

The Chrysler basic warranty applies for 3 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. Wear and tear items are covered for 1 year or 12,000 miles. The Chrysler basic warranty begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner or the first day of use. It is transferable from one Chrysler owner to the next with no work needed from the previous owner and there is no limit on the amount of owners the vehicle can have for the warranty to be valid.
