As part of the Dodge factory warranty, there is a basic warranty, commonly known as a bumper-to-bumper warranty. The Dodge basic warranty covers repairs to the vehicle if the failure is due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship. It begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner (in-service date) or the first day of use.

What is Covered Under the Dodge Basic Warranty?

Under the Dodge basic warranty, most components of the vehicle are covered. Wear and tear items such as wiper inserts, brakes, windshield, rear glass, clutch disc, wheel balancing, and wheel alignments. If repairs are needed to the components covered by the Dodge basic warranty, then there is no cost to the customer.

How Long is the Dodge Basic Warranty?

The Dodge basic warranty applies for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. The wear and tear items are covered for 1 year or 12,000 miles. The Dodge basic warranty begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner or the day of first use. It is transferable from one Dodge owner to the next. There is no limit to how many owners the vehicle can have in order for the warranty to be valid.
