A drivetrain warranty typically provides coverage to all the sealed components within the drivetrain. Components normally covered under the drivetrain system are drive shafts, final drive housing and all internal parts, propeller shafts, universal joints, bearings, seals and gaskets. The drivetrain warranty is typically included in the powertrain warranty coverage section of a limited warranty. The drivetrain warranty covers any repairs needed to correct defects in materials or workmanship. Some extended service contracts will provide additional coverage to other stated components within the drivetrain, however most limit to the sealed components within the operating system.
