A engine warranty typically provides coverage to all the sealed components within the engine. Components normally covered under the engine system include cylinder heads and block and all internal parts, rocker covers and oil pan, valve train and front cover, timing chain and tensioner, oil pump, water pump and fuel pump, fuel injectors, intake and exhaust manifolds and supercharger, flywheel, seals, and gaskets. The engine warranty is typically included in the powertrain warranty coverage section of a limited warranty. The engine warranty covers any repairs needed to correct defects in materials or workmanship. Some extended service contracts will provide additional coverage to other stated components within the engine, however most limit to the sealed components within the operating system.
