A factory warranty is commonly referred to by many names; however most factory warranties are an intricate combination of limited and full warranties that specify that the material and/or workmanship of the vehicle is defect-free or will meet certain performance guidelines over a specified time and/or mileage. Often vehicles come with several different types of factory warranty coverages: standard, corrosion, safety, paint, tire, powertrain, and emission. All of which have various levels of limiting or full warranties for the specific manufacturer's vehicle.

Ford Basic Warranty

With every new Ford vehicle purchased comes a limited factory warranty. The Ford basic warranty,  commonly known as a bumper-to-bumper warranty, is part of the factory warranty and covers repairs to the vehicle if the failure was due to a manufacturer defect of workmanship. The Ford basic warranty begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner (in-service date) or the day of first use.

Dodge Basic Warranty

As part of the Dodge factory warranty, there is a basic warranty, commonly known as a bumper-to-bumper warranty. The Dodge basic warranty covers repairs to the vehicle if the failure is due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship. It begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner (in-service date) or the first day of use.

Chrysler Factory Warranty

With every new Chrysler vehicle purchased comes a limited factory warranty. The Chrysler factory warranty includes a standard bumper-to-bumper warranty, a powertrain warranty, and a corrosion warranty.Chrysler does not offer a roadside assistance program, but they do offer emergency towing.

Cadillac Basic Warranty

Every new Cadillac purchased come with a limited factory warranty. Part of the factory warranty includes a basic warranty, or commonly know as a bumper-to-bumper warranty. The Cadillac basic warranty covers repairs made to the vehicle if the failure is due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship. The Cadillac basic warranty begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner (in-service date) or the date of first use.

Volvo Factory Warranty

Every new Volvo vehicle purchased comes a new vehicle limited factory warranty. The Volvo factory warranty includes a standard bumper-to-bumper warranty, a corrosion warranty, and roadside assistance. Volvo does not offer a separate powertrain warranty.
