A limited warranty is often used by a automotive manufacturer to provide a warranty on certain components of a vehicle providing sometimes only a warranty on the parts and not the labor of the failed component. Limiting the warranty imposes certain restrictions to what is covered upon mechanical breakdown of the vehicle. A full warranty is the exact opposite of a limited warranty, providing a comprehensive warranty on the breakdown of all vehicle components.
