The Warranty Administrator is a company and/or individual that handles the claims processing, claims inspection, payment fulfillment and customer service in regards to a factory warranty, limited warranty or extended service contract.
If in reference to a company: all factory warranties, limited warranties and service contracts are supported by an warranty administration company. This company normally has agents, resellers, and dealers that assist in distributing their auto warranty and service contract products. These products are often times financially backed by a larger insurance company called an warranty underwriter. Be very careful of service contracts and auto warranties that do not have reputable administrators and underwriters to support the product.
If in reference to an individual: often times independent repair facilities and franchised dealership employ a position titled "warranty administrator". This individual is responsible for requesting authorization, remitting and processing warranty claims to warranty administrators.
