Hummer Corrosion Warranty

You are here

The Hummer corrosion warranty protects against any rust-through, or perforation, on the vehicle body. It will cover the cost of repairs to rust-through that are caused by manufacturer defect or workmanship. The Hummer corrosion warranty begins the day the vehicle is delivered to it's firs owner (in-service date) or the first date of use.

What is Covered Under the Hummer Corrosion Warranty?

Under the Hummer corrosion warranty, any repairs to rust though on the body of the vehicle are covered if the rust is due to manufacturer defect or workmanship. Once rust through is discovered on the vehicle body, it must be taken to a GM authorized service center. Then Hummer will decided whether to repair the rust or replace the part. There are no additional rust prohibiting measures that need to be taken in order for the Hummer corrosion warranty to be valid.

The Hummer corrosion warranty covers what is listed above. For what is not covered please refer to the "What is Not Covered" section of the warranty booklet.

How Long is the Hummer Corrosion Warranty?

The Hummer corrosion warranty covers corrosion 6 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.  This warranty automatically transfers from one Hummer owner to the next. Also, the Hummer corrosion warranty has no limits on the number of owners the vehicle can have in order for the warranty to be valid.
