Jaguar Basic Warranty

You are here

The Jaguar basic, or standard bumper-to-bumper, warranty comes with every new Jaguar purchased. It includes most components of the vehicle and repairs needed due to manufacturer defect or workmanship. The Jaguar basic warranty begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner or the day it is first put into use.

What is Covered Under the Jaguar Basic Warranty?

The Jaguar basic warranty covers most components of the vehicle including batteries. Wear and tear items such as wiper blades are included as well. Brakes are covered if they fail due to a defect. If repairs are needed due to manufacturer defect or workmanship, the Jaguar basic warranty will cover the cost.

The Jaguar basic warranty covers what is mentioned above. For a list of what is not covered refer to the "What is Not Covered" section of the Jaguar warranty booklet.

How Long is the Jaguar Basic Warranty?

The Jaguar basic warranty applies for 5 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. The wear and tear items are covered for 1 year or 12,000 miles. It is a fully transferable warranty meaning that it can be transferred from one Jaguar owner to the next with no work from the previous owner. There is also no limit on how many owners the vehicle can have for the warranty to be valid.

*The Jaguar Basic Warranty information was obtained from the 2011 Jaguar Passport to Service booklet.  For the latest information please advise your warranty booklet.
