The Jaguar Powertrain Warranty includes those components that fall within the realm of the new car limited warranty. This warranty covers any repairs made due to manufacturer defect or workmanship. The powertrain warranty includes components of the engine, transmission, transaxle, and both rear-wheel and front-wheel drive systems. The Jaguar powertrain warranty begins at the first date of delivery to the new owner (in-service date) or the first date of use.

What is Covered under the Jaguar Powertrain Warranty?

Under the Jaguar Powertrain Warranty, the engine, transmission, transaxle, drive systems, and their components are covered if they fail due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship. The Jaguar powertrain warranty covers the components listed above. For a complete list of what is not covered under the powertrain warranty, look under the "What is Not Covered Section" of the Jaguar warranty booklet.

How Long is the Jaguar Powertrain Warranty?

The Jaguar powertrain warranty is part of the Jaguar new vehicle factory warranty which applies for 5 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. The warranty is transferable from one Jaguar owner to the next with very little work needed on the part of the previous owner. Also, there is no limit on the number of owners the vehicle can have in order for the warranty to be valid.

The 5 years 50,000 miles applies to 2011 and newer models. For 2010 and older models, the Jaguar powertrain warranty is 4 years or 50,000 miles whichever comes first.

There are extended auto car warranties available that will extend the coverage beyond the Jaguar factory warranty coverage.
