When any new Jeep vehicle is purchased it comes with a standard bumper-to-bumper warranty. The Jeep basic (bumper-to-bumper) warranty  covers the cost of repairs needed to the vehicle if the part or parts fail due to manufacturer defect or workmanship. The Jeep Basic warranty begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner (in-service date) or the first day of use.

What is Covered Under the Jeep Basic Warranty?

Under the Jeep basic warranty most components of the vehicle are covered. Wear and tear items such as, wiper inserts, brakes, windshield, rear glass, wheel balancing, and wheel alignments are covered as well. It also comes with emergency towing. If any of the components are parts listed fail due to manufacturer defect or workmanship, the Jeep basic warranty will cover the cost of repairs and will cover the cost of towing if the vehicle breaks down. 

While most parts are covered there are restrictions and exclusions. For a list of what is not covered refer to the Jeep warranty booklet.

How Long is the Jeep Basic Warranty?

The Jeep basic warranty applies for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. The normal wear and tear items are covered for 1 year or 12,000 miles. It begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner or the first day it is put into use. The Jeep basic warranty can be transferred from one Jeep owner to the next with no limit on the number of owners the Jeep can have in order for the warranty to be valid.
