Kia Factory Warranty

Kia offers a new vehicle limited warranty with every new vehicle purchased. The Kia factory warranty includes a standard bumper-to-bumper warranty, a powertrain warranty, a corrosion warranty, and roadside assistance. The Kia factory warranty covers the cost of repairs if the part or parts fail due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship. The factory warranty begins the day it is delivered to the first owner (in-service date) or the first day of use.

The Kia basic, or bumper-to-bumper, warranty covers repairs needed to  most components of the vehicle including the battery, paint and audio systems if the failure was due to manufacturer defector workmanship. It applies for 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. The battery is covered for 1 year regardless of mileage and the paint and audio systems are covered for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. The Kia powertrain warranty covers the components of the engine, transmission, transaxle, and drive systems. It is valid for 10 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. The 10 years or 100,000 miles is only applicable to the original owner. The Kia corrosion warranty cover repair or replacement cost to sheet metal body panels that have signs of rust through. The corrosion warranty is a 5 year/100,000 mile warranty. The Kia roadside assistance program offers services such as flat tire change, fuel delivery, trip interruption, lock out service, and emergency towing. Roadside assistance is available for 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first.
