Lexus Basic Warranty

You are here

When a new Lexus is purchased it comes with a limited factory warranty. The Lexus basic warranty, commonly known as a bumper-to-bumper warranty, covers any repairs needed due to manufacturer defects or workmanship. The Lexus basic warranty covers most components of the new vehicle.  The Lexus basic warranty starts with the first date of delivery to it's new owner (in-service date) or the date of first use.

What is Covered Under the Lexus Basic Warranty?

The Lexus basic warranty covers most components of a new Lexus, including batteries. Wheel balancing and wheel alignment are covered under a separate warranty. If any of the covered parts fail due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship, the Lexus basic warranty will cover parts and labor cost.

There are restrictions and exclusions to the Lexus basic warranty.  For those parts not covered look in the "What is Not Covered Section" in the Lexus warranty booklet.

How Long is the Lexus Basic Warranty?

The Lexus basic warranty is 4 years or 50,000 miles which ever comes first.  Wheel alignments and wheel balancing are covered for 1 year or 12,000 miles. The Lexus basic warranty  begins on the delivery date to the first owner or the first date of use.  This warranty is transferable from one Lexus owner to the next with very little work needed on the part of the pervious owner. Plus, there is no limit on the number of owners that a particular Lexus vehicle can have in order for the warranty to remain valid.

*The Lexus basic warranty information was obtained form the 2011 Lexus Warranty booklet. For the latest information please advise the New Vehicle Limited warranty section of your booklet.
