Lincoln Corrosion Warranty

The Lincoln corrosion warranty falls under the new vehicle limited warranty and extends corrosion coverage after the factory warranty has expired. The Lincoln corrosion warranty covers repairs of rust through due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship. It begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner (in-service date) or the day of first use.

What Is Covered Under the Lincoln Corrosion Warranty?

Under the Lincoln corrosion warranty, repairs to any original sheet metal panel that are needed due to a manufacturer defect workmanship are covered. The sheet metal panel is covered as long as the perforation is caused by normal use of the vehicle and must be supplied by Lincoln.

How Long is the Lincoln Corrosion Warranty?

The Lincoln corrosion warranty applies for 5 year regardless of mileage. If the vehicle's paint is damaged due to corrosive airborne material, then Lincoln will cover it for 1 year or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. The Lincoln corrosion warranty is fully transferable from one Lincoln owner to the next with no limit on the number of owners the vehicle can have.
