When a new Mazda vehicle is purchased it comes a new vehicle limited factory warranty. The Mazda basic warranty, or bumper-to-bumper warranty, is a part of the factory warranty. The Mazda basic warranty covers repairs needed to the vehicle if the part or parts fail due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship. The Mazda basic warranty begins the day the vehicle is delivered to it's first owner or the day of first use.

What is Covered Under the Mazda Basic Warrant?

The Mazda basic warranty encompasses most component of the vehicle, excluding normal wear and tear items. The components will be covered if they fail die to a manufacturer defect or workmanship.

How Long is the Mazda Basic Warranty?

The Mazda basic warranty applies for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. It begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner or the day of first use. It is transferable from one Mazda owner to the next with little to no work needed on the part of the previous owner. There is also no limit to how many owners the vehicle can have in order for the warranty to be valid.

2003 thru 2006 Mazda models have basic, or bumper-to-bumper, coverge for 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first and 2001 thru 2002 models have basic coverage for 3 years or 50,000 miles.

There are extended auto warranties available that will extend coverage beyond the Mazda basic warranty.
