When a new Mercedes-Benz vehicle is purchased is comes with a standard bumper-to-bumper warranty. The Mercedes-Benz basic warranty covers the cost of repairs needed to the vehicle if the part or parts fail due to manufacturer defect or workmanship. The Mercedes-Benz basic warranty begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner (in-service date) or the first day of use.

What is Covered Under the Mercedes-Benz  Basic Warranty?

Under the Mercedes-Benz basic warranty, most components of the vehicle are covered, including Mercedes-Benz installed portable electronic devices. Wear and tear items including brakes, tires, glass, and wiper blade inserts are covered as well. If any of the components listed fail due to manufacturer defect or workmanship Mercedes-Benz will cover the cost of parts and labor.

How Long is the Mercedes-Benz Basic Warranty?

The Mercedes-Benz basic warranty applies for 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. The portable electronic devices are covered for 12 months regardless of mileage and wear and tear items are covered for 12 months or 12,000 miles.  It begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner or the first day it is put into use. The Mercedes-Benz basic warranty can be transferred to one Mercedes-Benz owner to the next with no limit on the number of owners the vehicle can have in order for the warranty to be valid.
