You are here

The Mercury corrosion warranty falls under the new vehicle limited warranty and extends corrosion coverage after the factory warranty has expired. The Mercury corrosion warranty covers repairs of rust through due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship. It begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner (in-service date) or the day of first use.

What Is Covered Under the Mercury Corrosion Warranty?

Under the Mercury corrosion warranty, repairs to any original sheet metal panel that are needed due to a manufacturer defect workmanship are covered. The sheet metal panel is covered as long as the perforation is caused by normal use of the vehicle and must be supplied by Mercury.

The Mercury Corrosion warranty covers what is listed above. For a list of what is not covered refer to the Corrosion warranty section of the warranty booklet.

How Long is the Mercury Corrosion Warranty?

The Mercury corrosion warranty applies for 5 year regardless of mileage. If the vehicle's paint is damaged due to corrosive airborne material, then Mercury will cover it for 1 year or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. The Mercury corrosion warranty is fully transferable from one Mercury owner to the next with no limit on the number of owners the vehicle can have.
