Every new Mitsubishi that is purchased is comes with a standard bumper-to-bumper warranty. The Mitsubishi basic warranty covers the cost of repairs needed to the vehicle if the part or parts fail due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship. The Mitsubishi basic warranty begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner (in-service date) or the first day of use.

What is Covered Under the Mitsubishi Basic Warranty?

Under the Mitsubishi basic warranty most components of the vehicle are covered, including electronic equipment. Batteries and adjustments are covered as well, but with limitations.  If any of the components covered  fail due to manufacturer defect or workmanship, the Mitsubishi basic warranty will cover the cost.

While most parts are covered, there are restrictions and exclusions. For a list of what is not covered refer to the"What is Not Covered Section" of the Mitsubishi warranty booklet.

How Long is the Mitsubishi Basic Warranty?

The Mitsubishi basic warranty applies for 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. Batteries are covered for 1 year regardless of mileage, adjustments are covered for 1 year or 12,000 miles,  while electronic equipment is covered for 3 years or 36,000 miles. It begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner or the first day it is put into use. The Mitusbishi basic warranty can be transferred to one Mitsubishi owner to the next with no limit on the number of owners the Mitsubishi vehicle can have in order for the warranty to be valid.
