The Mitsubishi powertrain warranty includes those components that fall within the scope of the Mitsubishi factory warranty. This warranty covers any powertrain repairs needed to correct defects in materials or workmanship. The powertrain coverage includes components in the engine, transmission, transaxle, and drivetrain systems. The Mitsubishi powertrain warranty begins on the date the vehicle is delivered ( in service date ) to its first new vehicle owner or whenever the vehicle was first put into use.

What is Covered under the Mitsubishi Powertrain Warranty?

Under the Mitsubishi powertrain warranty the following components are covered: Engine Warranties the cylinder block and all internal parts, the cylinder head assemblies and gaskets, engine mounts, the balancer belt and related parts, the balancer shafts, flywheel or drive plate including the ring gear, fuel pump, intake manifold, oil pan, oil pump, timing belt, valve covers and gaskets, and water pump; Transmission and Transaxle Warranties the transmission, transaxle, and transfer cases and all internal parts including mounts, torque converter , including ring gear, and seals and gaskets for all components;  while the Drivetrain Warranties the axle housing and all internal parts, the axle shaft bearings, drive shaft and axle shaft assemblies, propeller shaft and center bearings,  yokes, CV joints, universal joints, the differential carrier assemblies, seals and gaskets.

The Mitsubishi powertrain coverage applies to those components listed above, for those components not listed or that which is listed under the What is Not Covered by the Mitsubishi Powertrain Warranty section refer to the Mitsubishi warrant booklet.

How long is the Mitsubishi Powertrain Coverage?

Powertrain coverage begins with the the new vehicle limited warranty, in which starts upon first ownership or use of the vehicle. The coverage extends until the Mitsubishi vehicle has reached either 10 years or 100,000 miles,  whichever comes first. The powertrain warranty is non-transferable. Subsequent owners will have the powertrain covered under the Mitsubishi factory warranty which applies for 5 years or 60,000 miles.

2000 thru 2003 Mitsubishi models have a powertrain warranty that applies for 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Extended car warranty's are available to extend the powertrain coverage past the Mitsubishi powertrain warranty limit.
