Pontiac Certified Warranty

You are here

Every certified pre-owned Pontiac vehicle comes with a certified pre-owned (CPO) warranty. The Pontiac Certified Warranty includes an extension on the standard bumper-to-bumper warranty, an extended powertrain warranty and roadside assistance. The CPO Pontiac warranty will cover repairs due to manufacturer defects or workmanship.

The Pontiac Certified Warranty covers most components of the new vehicle including accessories and is valid for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. This begins the day the factory bumper-to-bumper warranty expires or the day the vehicle is purchased if the factory warranty expired prior to purchase. There is also a powertrain warranty that is part of the Pontiac certified warranty. The powertrain portion of the Pontiac CPO warranty covers components of the engine, transmission, transaxle, front-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive systems. The powertrain is covered for 5 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first and starts from the original in service date.

For a list of items that are not covered by the Pontiac certified warranty please refer to the "What is Not Covered" section of the Pontiac Warranties booklet.

The roadside assistance portion of the warranty includes benefits such as:

  • emergency towing,
  • fuel delivery,
  • lock-out service,
  • trip interruption benefits,
  • courtesy transportation, and
  • trip routing services.

The roadside assistance is valid for 5 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.

The Pontiac certified warranty has no deductible and is fully transferable from one Pontiac owner to the next.
