Pontiac Factory Warranty

When a new Pontiac vehicle is purchased, it automatically comes with a limited factory warranty. The Pontiac factory warranty includes a standard bumper-to-bumper warranty, a powertrain warranty, a corrosion warranty, and roadside assistance. The Pontiac factory warranty covers the vehicle if a part or parts fail due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship. The Pontiac factory warranty begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner (in-service date) or the day of first use.

The Pontiac basic, or bumper-to-bumper, warranty covers any part of the vehicle if it fails due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship. It applies for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. The Pontiac powertrain warranty includes the engine, transmission, transaxle, transfer case, drive systems, and their components. It is valid for 5 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. The Pontiac corrosion warranty  repairs or replaces any body sheet metal panel if there is rust through caused by normal use of the vehicle. It applies for 6 years or 100,000 miles. The Pontiac roadside assistance programs encompasses services such as trip interruption, emergency towing, lock out, fuel delivery, flat tire change, battery jump start, and courtesy transportation.  Roadside assistance benefits are available for 5 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.

For Pontiac models 2006 or older, the powertrain warranty is a 3 year/36,000 miles warranty.

The Pontiac factory warranty covers what is listed above. For a list of what is not covered refer to the Pontiac warranty booklet.
