Porsche Basic Warranty

You are here

Porsche offers a new vehicle limited warranty with every new Porsche purchased. The factory warranty comes with a Porsche basic, or bumper-to-bumper warranty that covers repairs to most components to the vehicle if the repair needed is due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship. The Porsche basic warranty begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner (in-service date) or the first date of use.

What is Covered Under the Porsche Basic Warranty?

Under the Porsche basic warranty, most components of the vehicle are covered if a repair is needed due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship . Also if the vehicle is inoperable due to a mechanical breakdown that is covered under the basic warranty, Porsche will pay towing cost to tow the vehicle to the nearest Porsche service center.

There are restrictions and exclusions to the Porsche basic warranty. For a complete list of what is not covered refer to the "What is Not Covered" section of the Porsche warranty booklet.

How Long is the Porsche Basic Warranty?

The Porsche basic warranty applies for 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. It begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner or the day of first use. The Porsche basic warranty is transferrable from one Porsche owner to the next automatically. There is no limit to how many owners the vehicle can have in order for the warranty to be valid.
