Porsche Powertrain Warranty

You are here

The Porsche Powertrain Warranty includes those components that fall within the realm of the new car limited warranty. This warranty covers any repairs made due to manufacturer defect or workmanship. The powertrain warranty includes components of the engine, transmission, transaxle, and both rear-wheel and front-wheel drive systems. The Porsche powertrain warranty begins at the first date of delivery to the new owner (in-service date) or the first date of use.

What is Covered under the Porsche Powertrain Warranty?

Under the Porsche Powertrain Warranty, the engine, transmission, transaxle, drive systems, and their components are covered if they fail due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship. The Porsche powertrain warranty covers the components listed above. For a complete list of what is not covered under the powertrain warranty, look under the "What is Not Covered Section" of the Porsche warranty booklet.

How Long is the Porsche Powertrain Warranty?

The Porsche powertrain warranty is part of the Porsche new vehicle factory warranty which applies for 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. The warranty is transferable from one Porsche owner to the next with very little work needed on the part of the previous owner. Also, there is no limit on the number of owners the vehicle can have in order for the warranty to be valid.

There are extended auto warranties available that will extend powertrain coverage beyond the Porsche factory warranty coverage.
