The Saab corrosion warranty, or rust perforation limited warranty, includes repairs to any original body panels and sheet metal that are perforated by corrosion, rust completely through from the inside out. This warranty covers any repairs of corrosion due to manufacturer defect or workmanship. The Saab corrosion warranty begins at the first date of delivery (in-service date) or the first date of use.

What Is Covered Under The Saab Corrosion Warranty?

The Saab Corrosion warranty covers any rust through due to corrosion on any original body panels and sheet metal due to manufacturer defect or workmanship. If rust through needs to be repaired and it was caused by normal use of the vehicle, then Saab will cover the cost of the repairs.  There are no additional rust proofing measures needed in order for the corrosion warranty to be valid.

How Long is the Saab Corrosion Warranty?

The Saab corrosion warranty applies for 10 years regardless of mileage on models 2010 and newer. On Saab models 2009 and older, the corrosion warranty applies for 6 years except on the 9-3 and 9-3 convertible which is 10 years.  It begins with the new vehicle limited warranty and starts the first day of ownership or use. The Saab corrosion warranty is fully transferable from one Saab owner to next automatically.
