When a new Scion vehicle is purchased, it comes with a standard bumper-to-bumper warranty. The Scion basic, or bumper-to-bumper warranty covers repairs to most components to the vehicle if the repair needed is due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship. The Scion basic warranty begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner (in-service date) or the first date of use.

What is Covered Under the Scion Basic Warranty?

Under the Scion basic warranty, most components of the vehicle, including saftey restrain systems, wheel alignment, and wheel balancing are covered. If a repair is needed to any part covered under the basic warranty, there will be no cost to the customer. Also if the vehicle is inoperable due to a mechanical breakdown that is covered under the basic warranty, Scion will tow the vehicle to the nearest Scion service center at no cost.

How Long is the Scion Basic Warranty?

The Scion basic warranty applies for 3 years or 30,000 miles, whichever comes first. Wheel alignments and balances are covere for 1 year or 12,000 miles, while saftey restrain system are covered for 5 year or 60,000 miles. It begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner or the day of first use. The Scion basic warranty is transferrable from one Scion owner to the next automatically. There is no limit to how many owners the vehicle can have in order for the warranty to be valid.
