Scion Powertrain Warranty

The Scion Powertrain Warranty is an extension of the Lexus factory warranty. The Scion powertrain warranty covers any repairs made to the components of the engine, transmission, transaxle, and drive systems if the failure is caused by a  manufacturer defect or workmanship. The Scion powertrain warranty begins at the first date of delivery to the new owner (in-service date) or the first date of use.

What is Covered under the Scion Powertrain Warranty?

Under the Scion powertrain warranty,  the engine and most components such as the cylinder block, cylinder head and all
internal parts, the timing gears and gaskets, timing chain/belt and cover, flywheel, valve covers, oil pan, oil pump, engine mounts, turbo, engine control computer, water pump, fuel pump, seals and gaskets. If there is a turbocharger, then it, the supercharger, and all internal parts. There is also a transmission and transaxle warranty under the Scion powertrain warranty. This includes the transmission and transfer cases and all internal parts, torque converter, clutch cover, transmission mounts, engine control computer, seals and gaskets. The front and rear wheel drive systems warranty includes the final drive housing and axle housing and all internal parts, axle shafts, drive shafts, constant velocity joints, front hub and
bearings, propeller shafts, U-joints, bearings, supports, seals and gaskets.

How Long is the Scion Powertrain Warranty?

The Lexus powertrain warranty applies for 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. The warranty is transferable from one Scion owner to the next with very little work needed on the part of the previous owner. Also, there is no limit on the number of owners the vehicle can have in order for the warranty to be valid.

If extended coverage is needed there are extended car warranties available that will extend the powertrain coverage beyond the Scion Powertrain warranty.
