The Subaru corrosion warranty includes repairs to any perforation, or rust through, to any original sheet metal on a new Subaru vehicle. This Subaru warranty covers repairs of any corrosion due to manufacturer defects or workmanship. The Subaru corrosion warranty begins at the delivery date (in-service date) which is the date it is delivered to the first Subaru owner or the date when it is first put into use.

What is Covered Under the Subaru Corrosion Warranty?

Under the Subaru corrosion warranty, any sheet metal panel that is provided by Subaru that has any signs of rust through due to normal use is covered. There are no additional rust proofing applications required, but they will not void the warranty if applied.

How Long is the Subaru Corrosion Warranty?

The Subaru corrosion warranty applies for 5 years regardless of mileage. It begins with the new vehicle limited warranty and starts the day of new ownership or use. The warranty is transferable. from one Subaru owner to the next. There are no restrictions on the number of owners the vehicle can have in order for the warranty to be valid and it is transferable with no work needed from the owners.
