Suzuki Basic Warranty

You are here

Every new Suzuki comes with a limited factory warranty. The Suzuki basic warranty, commonly known as a bumper-to-bumper warranty, covers any repairs needed due to manufacturer defects or workmanship. The basic warranty covers most components of a new Suzuki including the battery and accessories. The Suzuki basic warranty starts with the first date of delivery to it's new owner (in-service date) or the date of first use.

What is Covered Under the Suzuki Basic Warranty?

The Suzuki basic warranty covers most components of a new Suzuki, including accessories. Batteries are covered as well, but under a separate warranty.  If a covered part fails due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship, Suzuki will repair it at no cost to the customer.

While most parts are covered, there are restrictions and exclusions. For those parts not covered look in the "What is Not Covered Section" in the Suzuki warranty booklet.

How long is the Suzuki Basic Warranty?

The Suzuki basic warranty is 3 years or 36,000 miles which ever comes first. Batteries are covered for 12 months or 12,000 miles. The Suzuki basic warranty begins on the delivery date to the first owner or the first date of use. This warranty is transferable from one Suzuki owner to the next with very little work needed on the part of the pervious owner. Plus, there is no limit on the number of owners that a particular Suzuki vehicle can have in order for the warranty to remain valid.

*The Suzuki basic warranty information was obtained form the 2011 Suzuki Warranties booklet. For the latest information please advise the New Vehicle Limited warranty section of your booklet.
