Volvo Factory Warranty

Every new Volvo vehicle purchased comes a new vehicle limited factory warranty. The Volvo factory warranty includes a standard bumper-to-bumper warranty, a corrosion warranty, and roadside assistance. Volvo does not offer a separate powertrain warranty. The Volvo factory warranty covers the cost of repairs to the vehicle if the failure is caused by a manufacturer defect or workmanship. The Volvo factory warranty begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner (in-service date) or the day of first use.

The Volvo basic, or bumper-to-bumper, warranty encompasses most components of the vehicle. If a component fails due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship, then Volvo will cover the cost. It apples for 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. Volvo does not offer a separate powertrain warranty. The powertrain is covered under the basic warranty. The Volvo corrosion warranty will repair or replace any body sheet metal panel that shows signs of rust through for 12 years with no limit on mileage. The Volvo roadside assistance program offers benefits such as emergency towing, battery jump start, fuel delivery service, winching, trip interruption, car rental discounts, flat tire change, and lock out assistance. Roadside assistance is available for 4 years regardless of mileage.

The Volvo factory warranty covers what is listed above. For a list of what is not covered refer to the "What is Not Covered" section of the Volvo warranty booklet.
