Volvo Powertrain Warranty

The Volvo Powertrain Warranty includes those components that fall within the realm of the new car limited warranty. This warranty covers any repairs made due to manufacturer defect or workmanship. The powertrain warranty includes components of the engine, transmission, transaxle, and both rear-wheel and front-wheel drive systems. The Volvo powertrain warranty begins at the first date of delivery to the new owner (in-service date) or the first date of use.

What is Covered under the Volvo Powertrain Warranty?

Under the Volvo Powertrain Warranty, the engine, transmission, transaxle, drive systems, and their components are covered if they fail due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship. The Volvo powertrain warranty covers the components listed above. How Long is the Volvo Powertrain Warranty?

The Volvo powertrain warranty is part of the Volvo new vehicle factory warranty which applies for 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. The warranty is transferable from one Volvo owner to the next with very little work needed on the part of the previous owner. Also, there is no limit on the number of owners the vehicle can have in order for the warranty to be valid. 

If extended coverage is needed after the Volvo new vehicle limited warranty expires, there are extended car warranties that will give you more coverage for your vehicle.
