Air Conditioning Condenser

You are here

The air conditioning condenser is a radiator-like heat exchanger. It removes the heat from the refrigerant vapor and turns it back into a liquid state.

Because of the air conditioning condenser being located in front of the radiator, it is prone to damage from collisions. If the condenser is damaged, then it will need to be replaced.

If the air conditioning condenser fails due to damage cause by a collision, then the vehicle's manufacturer factory warranty or extended warranty, if applicable will not cover the cost of replacement. However, if it fails due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship, then the factory warranty or extended warranty will cover the replacement cost.
