Heater Blower Motor Replacement

You are here

The heater blower motor forces air through a heater radiator behind the dashboard to provide heat for the passenger compartment and also blows air through the air conditioning evaporator to provide cold air. If the heater blower motor fails then heated air and cold air will not be forced through the vents in the passenger compartment of a vehicle and a heater blower motor replacement is needed.

In order to access and replace the heater blower motor, some of the dashboard and interior trim will need to be disassembled.

Most manufacturer factory warranties cover the cost of a heater blower motor replacement as long as the failure is due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship. There are some extended auto warranties that will cover the cost of a heater blower motor replacement as well, depending upon the level of coverage you select.
