Often times a car warranty will only cover items that are deemed to be original equipment installed by the manufacturer or authorized licensed dealer. Original equipment from the manufacturer can include but is not limited to: DVD players, LCD screens, mobile devices, body enhancements, tires, wheels, exhaust and other items that are typically added as an aftermarket part. Original Equipment usually holds a limited warranty on parts and labor for the replacement or repair of the item under the standard factory warranty. Also, if original equipment was installed at the authorized dealer, a limited warranty normally applies and is typically a one year limited warranty on parts.
