The Infiniti powertrain warranty includes those components that fall within the scope of the Infiniti factory warranty. This warranty covers any powertrain repairs needed to correct defects in materials or workmanship. The powertrain coverage includes components in the engine, transmission, transaxle, and drivetrain systems. The Infiniti powertrain warranty begins on the date the vehicle is delivered ( the in service date ) to its first new vehicle owner or whenever the vehicle was first put into use.
What is Covered under the Infiniti Powertrain Warranty?
Under the Infiniti powertrain warranty the following components are covered: Engine Warranties the cylinder heads and block and all internal parts, rocker covers and oil pan, valve train and front cover, timing chain and tensioner, oil pump, water pump and fuel pump, fuel injectors, intake and exhaust manifolds and supercharger, flywheel, seals, and gaskets; Transmission and Transaxle Warranties the case and all internal parts, seals and gaskets, clutch cover and housing, and electronic transmission controls; while the Drivetrain Warranties the drive shafts, final drive housing and all internal parts, propeller shafts, universal joints, bearings, seals and gaskets.
The Infiniti powertrain coverage applies to those components listed above, for those components not listed or that which is listed under the What is Not Covered by the Infiniti Factory Warranty section of the warranty booklet.
How long is the Infiniti Powertrain Coverage?
Powertrain coverage begins with the the new vehicle limited warranty, in which starts upon first ownership or use of the vehicle. It applies for 4 years or 60,000 whichever comes first. There are no restrictions on how many Infiniti owners this coverage extends to. There are no steps needed to transfer this Infiniti warranty to a new owner.
There are extended car warranties that are available that will extend coverage to an Inifiti vehicle once the new vehicle warranty expires.
