When a new Saturn vehicle is purchased, it comes with a standard bumper-to-bumper warranty. The Saturn basic, or bumper-to-bumper, warranty covers repairs to most components to the vehicle if the repair needed is due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship. The Saturn basic warranty begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner (in-service date) or the first date of use.

What is Covered Under the Saturn Basic Warranty?

Under the Saturn basic warranty, most components of the vehicle are covered.  If a repair is needed to any part covered under the basic warranty. Saturn also offers courtesy transportation and emergency towing. If your vehicle becomes inoperable due to a mechanical breakdown that is covered under warranty then Saturn will pay for towing cost to the nearest GM service center and also provide transportation if needed.

There are restrictions and exclusions to the Saturn basic warranty. For a complete list of what is not covered refer to the "What is Not Covered" section of the Saturn warranty booklet.

How Long is the Saturn Basic Warranty?

The Saturn basic warranty applies for 3 years or 30,000 miles, whichever comes first. Courtesy transportation is available for 5 years or 100,000 miles. It begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner or the day of first use. The Saturn basic warranty is transferrable from one Saturn owner to the next automatically. There is no limit to how many owners the vehicle can have in order for the warranty to be valid.
