Clutch Pressure Plate

You are here

The clutch pressure plate is part of the clutch assembly. It is covers the clutch disc by attaching to the flywheel and provides the clamping force that applies and releases the clutch disc.

The most common problem with the clutch pressure plate is that it can become warped or misaligned. If it becomes wrapped, then it will need replacing, but if the clutch pressure plate is misaligned, then it can be adjusted.

Most manufacturer factory warranties and extended warranties do not cover the clutch pressure plate. However, they it still needs to be maintained in order to ensure the validity of your manufacturer factory warranty and extended auto warranty, if applicable.
