Honda Certified Warranty

You are here

Every certified pre-owned Honda vehicle comes with a certified pre-owned (CPO) warranty. The Honda Certified Warranty includes an extension on the standard bumper-to-bumper warranty and an extended powertrain warranty. The Honda certified warranty will cover repairs due to manufacturer defects or workmanship.

The Honda Certified Warranty covers most components of the new vehicle including accessories and is valid for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. Some of the systems that are covered include the

  • steering
  • suspension
  • electrical
  • air conditioning
  • heating and cooling
  • fuel system
  • switches
  • audio repairs (Honda audio systems only), and
  • sensors

This begins the day the factory bumper-to-bumper warranty expires or the day the vehicle is purchased if the factory warranty expired prior to purchase. The powertrain portion of the warranty covers components of the engine, transmission, and drive systems. The Honda certified warranty extends powertrain coverage for 7 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first and starts from the original new car warranty registration date. There is no deductible on the Honda certified warranty.

For a list of items that are not covered by the Honda certified warranty please refer to the "What is Not Covered" section of the Honda Warranties booklet.
