Jeep Corrosion Warranty

You are here

The Jeep corrosion warranty includes repairs to rust through on any original sheet metal panel that is provided by Jeep. The warranty covers the cost of repairs if the rust through is caused by a manufacturer defect or workmanship. The Jeep corrosion warranty begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner (in-service date) or the day of first use.

What is Covered Under the Jeep Corrosion Warranty?

Under the Jeep corrosion warranty, any original sheet metal panel is covered. The sheet metal panels must be provided by Jeep in order to be eligible for coverage.  If the sheet metal has holes from rust through or another form of corrosion, and it is caused by the normal use of the vehicle, then Jeep will cover the cost of repairs.

The Jeep corrosion warranty covers what is listed above. For a complete list of what is not covered refer to the Corrosion warranty section of the warranty booklet.

How Long is the Jeep Corrosion Warranty?

There are two mileage and time limits to the Jeep corrosion warranty. For sheet metal panels, the warranty applies for 3 years regardless of mileage. For outer-body sheet metal panels, the warranty is valid for 5 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. The Jeep corrosion warranty is fully transferable from one Jeep owner to the next. There are no limits to how many owner the vehicle can have in order for the warranty to be valid.

*The Jeep Corrosion Warranty was obtained from the 2011 Jeep Warranty booklet. For the latest information, please advise the corrosion warranty section of your booklet.
