The Mitsubishi corrosion warranty includes repairs to any perforation, or rust through, to any sheet metal on a new Mitsubishi vehicle. This Mitsubishi warranty covers repairs of any corrosion due to manufacturer defects or workmanship. It only applies to sheet metal that is provided by Mitsubishi. The Mitsubishi corrosion warranty begins at the delivery date (in-service date) which is the date it is delivered to the first  owner or the date when it is first put into use.

What is Covered Under the Mitsubishi Corrosion Warranty?

Under the Mitsubishi corrosion warranty, any sheet metal that is provided by Nissan that has any signs of corrosion due to normal use. There are no additional rust proofing applications required in order for the warranty to be valid. However, there are protection guidelines. These guidelines can be found in the Anti-Corrosion Perforation section of the Mitsubishi Factory Warranty found in your warranty booklet provided at the time of sale. How Long is the Mitsubishi Corrosion Warranty?

For 2010 and older models the Mitsubishi corrosion warranty applies for 5 years regardless of mileage. For 2011 and newer models, the corrosion warranty applies for 7 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. It begins with the new vehicle limited warranty and starts the day of new ownership or use. The warranty is transferable. There are no restrictions on the number of owners the vehicle can have in order for the warranty to be valid and it is transferable with no work needed from the owners.
