Scion Certified Warranty

You are here

When a consumer purchases a certified pre-owned Scion, it comes with a certified pre-owned (CPO) limited warranty. The Scion certified warranty extends coverage to certain components of the vehicle and starts on the original in service date or the date of purchase.

The Scion Certified warranty comes in two parts. There is a comprehensive warranty and a powertrain warranty. The comprehensive warranty is an extension of the new vehicle limited factory warranty. Most components that are covered under the factory warranty will be covered under the certified warranty. Scion will cover the cost of parts and labor if a mechanical breakdown occurs due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship. The Scion certified warranty extends the factory warranty for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. It begins the day the CPO vehicle is purchased. The powertrain portion of the warranty covers components of the engine, transmission, and axle assembly. It is valid for 7 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first and starts on the original in service date of the vehicle. There is no deductible for repairs and the warranty is fully transferable from one Scion owner to the next.

For a list of items that are not covered by the Scion certified warranty please refer to the "What is Not Covered" section of the Scion Warranties booklet.

As part of the certified warranty, Scion also offer roadside assistance benefits. Some of the roadside assistance  benefits include:

  • lock-out assistance
  • battery jump start
  • flat tire change
  • fuel delivery, and
  • emergency towing

The roadside assistance is valid for 1 year regardless of the mileage.
