Car Warranty

You are here

There are many types of warranties available for your car. When a consumer searches for a car warranty they are often looking for an extended auto warranty. However, every vehicle comes with a factory warranty that can be further extended with a vehicle protection plan or service contract. A car warranty is a warranty that provides collateral assurance or a limited guarantee that certain components of the car will be remedied with a replacement or repair if mechanical breakdown occurs during a specified period of time or mileage.

Avoid a Denied Warranty Claim

Have you ever taken your car in for repairs thinking you were covered by a warranty only to be handed a large repair bill? There are ways you can prevent your claim from being denied by your factory warranty or extended auto warranty and also prolong the life of your vehicle.

How Does An Extended Auto Warranty Work?

Many people have heard of, or purchased, an extended auto warranty, but some of them don't know exactly how they work. What do you do if you vehicle needs repairs? What are the out of pocket cost? These are both common questions that consumers have. I like to compare extended warranties to car insurance, because that's basically how a consumer views them; however they truly are assurance products that protect you from the high cost of repair bills. Everyone has car insurance.

Subaru Powertrain Warranty Coverage

The Subaru Powertrain Warranty is an extension of the Subaru new car warranty. The Subaru powertrain warranty covers any repairs made to the components of the engine, transmission, transaxle, and drive systems if the failure is caused by a  manufacturer defect or workmanship. The Subaru powertrain warranty begins at the first date of delivery to the new owner (in-service date) or the first date of use.

What is Covered under the Subaru Powertrain Warranty?

Nissan Roadside Assistance

Under the Nissan new car factory limited warranty there is no Nissan roadside assistance coverage. If your car is inoperable due to a breakdown caused by a manufacturer defect or workmanship during the 3 year or 36,000 mile factory warranty period, then Nissan will tow the vehicle to the nearest Nissan dealership at no cost to you. If your vehicle needs towing to the nearest Nissan dealership, then all that you have to do is call a local towing company and Nissan will pay for the cost.
