A factory warranty is commonly referred to by many names; however most factory warranties are an intricate combination of limited and full warranties that specify that the material and/or workmanship of the vehicle is defect-free or will meet certain performance guidelines over a specified time and/or mileage. Often vehicles come with several different types of factory warranty coverages: standard, corrosion, safety, paint, tire, powertrain, and emission. All of which have various levels of limiting or full warranties for the specific manufacturer's vehicle.

GMC Powertrain Warranty

The GMC powertrain warranty includes those components that fall within the scope of the GMC factory warranty. This warranty covers any powertrain repairs needed to correct defects in materials or workmanship. The powertrain coverage includes components in the engine, transmission, transaxle, and drivetrain systems. The GMC powertrain warranty begins on the date the vehicle is delivered (  in service date ) to its first new vehicle owner or whenever the vehicle was first put into use.

Nissan Powertrain Warranty

The Nissan powertrain warranty includes those components that fall within the scope of the Nissan factory warranty. This warranty covers any powertrain repairs needed to correct defects in materials or workmanship. The powertrain coverage includes components in the engine, transmission, transaxle, and drivetrain systems.
