Mercedes-Benz does not offer an extended corrosion warranty. The Mercedes-Benz corrosion warranty is part of the limited factory warranty which covers most damage to the vehicle if the damage is caused by a manufacturer defect or workmanship. The Mercedes-Benz warranty begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner (in-service date) or the first day of use.

What is Covered Under the Mercedes-Benz Corrosion Warranty?

Since Mercedes-Benz does not offer an extended corrosion warranty, perforation, or rust through, is covered under the limited factory warranty. If rust through is caused by normal use of the vehicle and a manufacturer defect or workmanship, then Mercedes-Benz will cover the repair cost. How Long is the Mercedes-Benz Corrosion Warranty?

The Mercedes-Benz corrosion warranty fall under the scope of the limited factory warranty which applies for 4 year or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. It begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner or the day of first use. The Mercedes-Benz warranty is fully transferable from one Mercedes-Benz owner to the next and there is no limit to how many owners the vehicle can have in order for the warranty to be valid.
