Acura Factory Warranty

Every new Acura vehicle comes with a limited factory warranty. It includes a standard bumper-to-bumper warranty, a powertrain warranty, and a corrosion warranty. Acura does not offer a roadside assistance plan with their new car limited warranty. These Acura warranties cover repairs due to manufacturer defects or workmanship. The Acura new car limited warranty begins the first date of delivery (in-service date) or the first date of use.

The Acura Factory Warranty covers most components of the new vehicle including accessories and is valid for 4 years or 50,000 miles under the basic bumper to bumper warranty, whichever comes first. The Acura powertrain warranty covers components of the engine, transmission, transaxle, front-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive systems. The powertrain is covered for 6 years or 70,000 miles, whichever comes first. The Acura Corrosion warranty covers any perforation, or rust through, on any sheet metal that is provided or replace by Acura. This is a 5 year warranty regardless of mileage. While roadside assistance is not offered with an Acura new car limited warranty, if the vehicle is inoperable due to a manufacturer defect or workmanship and must be towed to the nearest Acura dealership, Acura will pay for towing. There is also a seat belt limited warranty that covers any seat belt component and it applies for 15 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first.

For Acura models that are 2006 or older, the warranty coverages are somewhat different. While the standard bumper-to-bumper and corrosion warranties are the same, for Acura models 2005 and older, the powertrain warranty only applies for 4 years or 50,000 miles. For models 2006 and older the seat belt warranty is a lifetime warranty. They are covered for the life of the vehicle regardless of mileage.

For a list of items that are not covered by the Acura limited warranty please refer to the "What is Not Covered" section of the Acura Warranties booklet.
